December Beach Day!

Although I will always be a Northern Californian at heart, I have to admit spending December 29th at the beach in 70 degree weather is pretty great!

Christmas Eve

Connor, Sean, and Ethan sit under Uncle Steve and Aunt Mitzi's Christmas tree. It took extreme self control for them not to open the presents.

Connor and Sean LOVE to play with their Uncle Matt! I am not quite sure what they are doing here, besides expressing their love. Although it looks more like they are performing a chimpanzee grooming ritual.

Making Cookies AGAIN

Tonight we made more "Henry Christmas Cookies." This time a couple of girls I swam, lifeguarded and taught swimming lessons with were here to help. Carly and Amy were definitely in the Christmas spirit, and the cookies turned out great. Just look...

Why are they laughing? You may be wondering...

...because Sean is CRAZY about shaking sprinkles onto cookies!

Only 4 more days until Christmas! Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!

At the Park on a "Cold" Day

For the rest of the country lows in the high 30s might not be so bad, but here in SoCal that's cold! So we waited until it warmed up to a cold, yet respectable, 60 degrees and headed to the park!
Sean loved the slide...

Connor has never minded being covered with sand... Here he is lounging in the sand.

Baking Christmas Cookies with Dad

New Chair for Motma

Motma got a "Zero Gravity" lift chair to help her stand without using her shoulders to push herself up...Connor got a ride!

PreK Christmas Show

Motma and Connor's teacher, Ms. Laurie at the party. (Connor would not get in the picture).

Daddy and Connor after the performance.

Singing Christmas songs with his classmates. This year he sang all the songs, did all the hand motions, and was really conscious of what was going on! It was so different from preschool last year.

Daddy and Sean watching the show.

Sean showed me the Christmas tree! He wanted to touch every ornament. Makes me glad our tree isn't up yet...

Hiking in Malibu with Dad

First, a bit of news...We got a piano!

One weekend morning, Chris took the boys for a hike in Malibu...wish I could have been there. It looks like it was a beautiful day for a hike!

Some Typical Days at Home

Sean likes to fit himself into tight spaces. Here he is in an empty diaper box.

Connor and Sean in the laundry basket...

After playing with flashlights all afternoon, the boys wanted the flashlight to be the only light at dinner. We also lit the Thanksgiving "corn candles" for added effect. Candlelight definitely makes pasta shells with cheese sauce seem very fancy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for many people and things, not least of which is Chris who found my camera charger and cable yesterday. I haven't charged my camera or uploaded photos since we were in DC... Now that it is found, I can't wait to blog!

Baby Forklift?

Sometimes Sean will randomly refer to me as "Mommy Forklift" or "Mommy Porcupine" just to name a few. Naturally I always reply, "Yes, Baby Forklift?" or "Yes, Baby Porcupine?" For example, out of nowhere he'll say, "Mommy Froggy, could you get me some milk?" I find that if he is in a "Baby Froggy" (or whatever) mood, I don't get much cooperation from him unless I refer to him as such. He keeps life interesting for us.

Wall-e Costume!

Connor was happy to have a lollipop on Halloween night!

Jack-o-lanterns carved with care.

Here are the pictures of Connor in his Wall-e costume, made with love by Daddy, Grammy, and me.
Sean refused to wear any of the costumes we had ready for him...but he liked trick or treating.

At The Cooking Shoppe

Yesterday, Connor and Grammy were up to some Halloween baking projects. They made cookies and a pineapple upside down cake. Connor decided this operation should be blogged and called "At the Cooking Shoppe on Jules Treasures." Hence the title. Here he is licking the beaters...

...and licking the spatula

Putting the cake in the oven to bake...

Connor's and Sean's smiles show their approval of the cookies. (For those of you who are wondering, they are "Henry Christmas Cookies, with a Halloween shape and color).
