Bean Bag Boys

Connor and Sean love their beanbags. They are usually in their respective rooms near the bookcases, but lately I have been keeping them on the family room floor. Somehow having separate comfy places to curl up and watch Curious George has prevented a lot of death defying couch behavior (i.e. jumping). Oh, yeah, Sean also loves wearing Connor's hats backwards. Easter Egg Hunt

The prize! I couldn't believe some parent would buy 22 whistles to give to other people's kids, I'd rather have candy that ensures a nice quiet sugar low than a loud whistle all day. Too bad it broke on the walk home, Whew! Luckily, Connor was more into the sweets than the whistle anyway.

Connor listening to his teacher dismiss them for Spring Break. I think he just wanted out of there so he could finish looking at all his loot. On the way home he said, "Mom, I just loved that whole day!"

Legoland!

We loved Legoland, there were short lines and plenty for both Sean and Connor to do! I think early March was a very good time to go, because I have heard other families say the lines were so long it was hardly worth it. Here are some highlights...it was hard to get the boys to stop for pictures, so I did my best.

Daddy and Connor raced their fire engine by pumping it down a track. Almost all the rides at Legoland had a physical component like pumping or pedaling. In the case of the fire engines, the rig would not move unless you pumped...very cool!

The Misinformed Geologist

Today in the backyard, while collecting rocks Connor said, "Mom, these are selimentary rocks because they're pointy and small. Then there's elementary, which means school, but in this case it means a rock that is pointy like a thorn ("forn").
Later when I asked if a particular rock was sedimentary, Connor politely corrected me, "No, mom it's SEL-A-MENT-ARY". Got it.

What They're Into

Connor is into collecting rocks in the backyard and then transferring them between buckets.
