Pre-Christmas Activity!

Sean's First Year as a Shepherd in the Nativity Play! For the past two years, Sean has been a camel, a role reserved for the very young. This year as a 5 year-old he is finally eligible for the role of Shepherd! Here he is trying on his costume for the first time!

Here is a flashback photo of Connor just before his first time being a shepherd. He is also going to be a Shepherd this year. I will post a picture of the two boys in their costumes this year after Christmas.

Last night after his shower, Ryan brought Grampy a book to read him. Here they are enjoying What Makes a Rainbow

Yesterday Ryan decided to dip cold French fries in his oatmeal and yogurt. YUM!

Advent Happenings

On Friday Connor had a "Fiesta" in his second grade class. In this picture he is trying to catch up to an unusually fast congo line! The class ate tamales and loved them!

I posed with Sean at his class holiday party, but he was upset with me for interrupting his craft, so he would not smile.

On Thanksgiving weekend we headed to the beach for the day. Ryan ran to the car and climbed in the back seat with his brothers. He thought it was great to sit with them. We had to wrestle him into his carseat after that!

The three boys getting ready to watch the Rudolph Christmas special on Motma's bed.

Ryan loves to climb onto the piano bench and "play songs." He is so much fun!

A Couple Randon Shots...

One evening Ryan and Daddy shared a pre-dinner snack on the patio. Ryan was very pleased to be sitting at the "big boy" table!

First Days...

Showing their soccer numbers after their first game this season.

Sean is on "The Darth Vaders" (can you tell the kids choose the team name)? This is his first season being old enough to play! He is very excited, but wishes he could have weekly soccer practice like his big brother. He will have to wait for that. His age level also has no goalie and they play five 5 minute "quarters."

Connor is on the "Mighty Monsters". This is his second year playing and he is having fun! This photo was taken after the game, so he looks a bit serious, but it is just fatigue.

Here is little Ryan posing for his picture on the first day of his "school." He and I attend a weekly parent/child class near our house. We love it and I also love the nap he takes after his two and a half hour class!

It's Been a LONG Six Months!

Today was a great day! Sweet Lois was told by her wonderful surgeon that she no longer needs monthy x-rays of her femur break. That is particularly good news since the hospital where all the appointments occured was 30 minutes away, the parking was challenging, and the x-ray table was extremely uncomfortable for "Motma." Hooray for Lois she is on the mend!

Happy Half Birthday to Connor!

Connor got to go on a HUGE Slip and Slide at our local park as part of his Summer Camp! It happened to be the day he turned seven and a half years old...pretty fun way to spend the afternoon!

Good bye, First Grade, Hello Summer

Connor sitting at his desk on the first day of first grade.

Hanging up his backpack on the first day, as Sean smiles at the camera.

Connor age 6 years, 7 months--first grader...

The last day of school was Hawaiian day, but I didn't get a picture. So here is Connor on the first day of Summer Vacation wearing some of his Hawaiian Day accessories. He is 7 years 4 months in this picture. Time flies!

Ryan Loves the Water

Ryan is the first child I have met who does not mind sitting very close to a sprinkler spraying cold water right in his face. It was so fun to watch him sit there smiling and laughing as the water soaked him.

Sean Finishes Preschool

Sean sits with his wonderful preschool teacher Ms. Kathy and one of his good friends on the last day of school.

Sean with his best buddy. They have been best buddies for two years of school.

September 2010--Sean on the first day of preschool.

Another one from last Fall on the first day of school.

It is weird to think of Sean going to the same school as Connor next year. Sean will be in Junior Kindergarten, so he still has one more year before he goes to regular kindergarten. Wish I could slow time a bit so we could enjoy each stage a bit more!

Happy Birthday, Ryan!

I cannot believe how incredibly fast this year has gone! Last year we had this itty bitty baby sleeping in his "Snuggle Nest" between us in our bed. Now we have this sweet toddler walking all over the place and getting into everything...especially if it is not safe for him (or if he is not safe for it). We have all had a lot of fun getting to know our little Ryan. He is sweet, has a great sense of humor, and is very curious! Thanks for making this such a fun year baby doll!

Ryan had his first cake on his first birthday, a couple weeks ago...

He tasted it, but kept his little hands out at first.

Then he devoured it and had seconds! He LOVED his cake!

He cried so hard when it was all gone... so sad!

Luckily, Grammy and Grampy had sent a HUGE FIRE TRUCK/ DUMP TRUCK for his birthday! That made him forget the cake.

Track Season

Connor was on the track team this year. He enjoyed it--especially the long jump!
