Jog A Thon!

Good bye, First Grade, Hello Summer

The last day of school was Hawaiian day, but I didn't get a picture. So here is Connor on the first day of Summer Vacation wearing some of his Hawaiian Day accessories. He is 7 years 4 months in this picture. Time flies!

Sean Finishes Preschool

It is weird to think of Sean going to the same school as Connor next year. Sean will be in Junior Kindergarten, so he still has one more year before he goes to regular kindergarten. Wish I could slow time a bit so we could enjoy each stage a bit more!

Open House May 2010

I can hardly believe that Connor's Kindergarten year is almost over. A couple days ago his school hosted Open House so the children could show us their work. The families gathered on the playground to play and picnic ahead of the classroom visiting hours.

Introducing the Class of 2022!

Last week Connor's class did a "Learning Through Lyrics" show for all the kindergarten families. They sang close to ten songs complete with hand motions and artwork. Connor was one of the song announcers. Here he is at the microphone.

Sean was not so impressed with the show, and preferred to make funny faces at the camera.

The children sang "What a Wonderful World" and they each had a painting of a part of the song. Connor had "Clouds of White," so he (and a few others who had clouds) would raise his painting at that part of the song. Very sweet.

One more of Connor at the mike. He was very clear and easy to understand! We were pleasantly surprised at how well he spoke.

Sean smiled happily after the finale!

Jog-a-thon/Beach Day

Chris took the whole day off after the Jog-a-thon, so we decided to take the boys to the beach in Malibu after school. They were so happy to be running on the beach! It has been such a rainy winter, we have not gotten to the beach as often as usual.

First Day of Kindergarten!

Today, we finally got to go to Connor's first day of Kindergarten. We walked to school, Connor got his name tag, put his lunch in the basket, and went right out to play until the bell rang. His teacher was so sweet and welcoming to him.

First Absence

This post was supposed to be pictures of Connor's first day of Kindergarten. Unfortunately, Connor woke up with goopy eyes and a runny nose, so I already had to call school to report his absence. We head to the doctor's at 9 am instead. The first day of Kindergarten photos will be posted as soon as Connor is well enough to go...

Last Day of PreK

Well the attempt at "last day of school" pics were met with pure silliness. Here was the best of the sillys. Connor holding his certificate.

PreK Graduation

This morning Connor had a ceremony, complete with "Pomp and Circumstance," to mark his completion of Pre Kindergarten. The 3 classes sang songs and received diplomas from their teachers.



There was supposed to be an outdoor picnic and play at the park, but it actually RAINED! We need the rain, but it was close quarters in the hall. More pictures of the day to follow.
