Snow Tubing

The day after Christmas we did pull the boys away from their toys to go up to the snow. A mountain about two hours away has turned one area into a family snow tubing park--so much fun! All four of us rode down the small slope. Chris took Connor on his lap and I took Sean on mine. The main drawback was waiting in line between rides. We got to go three times in about one hour. The boys got to try their hand at snowball making and throwing, but the mittens took a little getting used to. We brought our "Snowman Kits" that Grammy and Grampy sent us, but the boys were too freezing and worn out to build a snowman. They both said, "Maybe next time we can build a snowman."

In typical Connor fashion... reclining in the dirty snow while we waited in line to get our inner tubes.

Super model pose on the snow as Sean begins his ascent.

Almost our turn!

The boys got in the tubes as we waited in line so Chris and I could pull them a few feet--very novel for them!

Play, Play, Play!

The boys have not stopped playing with their Christmas toys! I must confess, all these blog posts are not a coincidence...Santa brought us a new camera!
Sean playing with Connor's Lighthouse.

Connor kicking back for a moment.

Sean explores the castle.

Connor and Sean at the Roman Arena...Sean was manipulating the Lion. Connor was Ceasar.

Sean trying to get both sets of rotor blades to spin at once on his rescue helicopter.

The Littlest Camel

Sean was one of three camels who accompanied the Three "Kings" to Bethlehem at Christmas Eve Mass at our parish. It was great because the little camels each had a 4th grade boy walking them to where they needed to be.

Sean Prepares for the SNOW!

Tomorrow we are taking the boys to the snow at a local mountain. Sean was trying out some of his accessories...

At one point Sean said, "Now I am a circus performer," and he started juggling and singing circus themed music.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning brought two happy boys! Here are some pictures of the big stuff from Santa...

The Little Shepherd

Tonight Connor tried on his costume for the Nativity Play...Seriously, has there ever been a cuter shepherd?

Christmastime

Yesterday the boys opened a HUGE box from Grammy and Grampy...there were homemade Christmas cookies along with tons of presents! Here are a few pictures of the boys showing their appreciation for the cookies...

Notice Connor has the cookies in his hand.

These last two are tree decorating shots...
Sean's style of decorating included hanging ornaments, taking them off, running around with them, relocating them (repeat)

Connor carefully picked the ornaments he wanted to hang and was very thoughtful about each one's placement.

Ornament Party

Our friends had an ornament decorating party and the boys got to make some cool decorations.

They both chose to leave their ornaments for their friends' tree, so we don't have any pictures of the final products.
