Finally Recovered...

Well after two weeks away followed by Sean, then Connor, then me, then Chris getting some sort of stomach virus and Motma falling on our patio, splitting her knee open and getting 8 stitches, I am ready to blog.
While we were gone, I turned 34 and Motma turned 80! Here we are getting ready to leave for Motma's 80th Birthday lunch.

Connor and Sean reading at our friend Teresa's house.

Uncle Matt and Daddy at Uncle Matt's new place.

Sean learning to read the SF Chronicle upside down...a skill that will take him far in life!

I'll post swimming pictures once I get the underwater camera developed.

Cool Place For Kids

While in the Bay Area we visited the Bay Area Discovery Museum located below the Golden Gate Bridge on the Marin side. We met some friends there and had a great time. It was the best place to be during a heat wave (accompanied by smokey conditions from all the fires) because it was only about 70 degrees and any smoke was blown away by the ocean breeze.
Here are Connor and Sean outside the museum.

Sean called this the "Big Golden Gate Bridge" because he already calls all bridges and freeway overpasses the golden gate bridge. He was in awe of the real GGB!

Sean goes fishing at one of the exhibits.

Connor and his friend Tommy plant tomatoes and watermelon on the computerized gardening exhibit.

Sean digs at the outdoor construction site.

We are Home

Yes we are back from the north, and I finally recharged my camera battery so I can upload photos to blog...Unfortunately Sean threw up last night and this morning so no pics yet.

The Well Informed Greatgrandson&Grandson of Farmers

Yesterday while I was making scrambled eggs, Connor said, "Mom, did you know that sheep don't lay eggs for their babies like chickens do. They lay corn." Seeing the strange look on my face he added, "Fresh corn." As if that would add credence and help me overcome my obvious confusion.
